About Metro Site Fabricators

Metro Site began business as a construction company in June of 2000 with founder Scott Ledford, his wife Cristy and one employee in a home office.  The focus was construction in the cell tower industry doing groundwork to add carriers to existing cell phone tower sites. Later, as more employees were added, Metro Site began expanding to include grading and groundwork needed to build new cell tower sites as well.

Over the next few years, with the aim to improve the availability of materials and reduce construction costs, Metro Site began fabricating some of their own materials. Quickly realizing from other contractors in the industry this same demand for materials, the company branched out into the metal fabrication business with Metro Site Fabricators.

In 2004, Metro Site moved the metal fabrication operation from the basement of the founder’s home to a small shop in Lula, GA.  By 2007, the fabrication business had outgrown that small shop space and decided to purchase land and build a larger facility.  Metro Site moved to the new location at Banks Crossing in Commerce, GA in 2008, which is their current location.

The company has expanded multiple times adding additional shop floor and warehouse space, as well as additional office space.  The current facility is now more than 50,000 square feet, processing several million pounds of steel per year and has over 50 employees with the construction and fabrication businesses combined.

Metro Site remains committed to staying involved with the local community.  Giving back to the community through helping with Food for Kids Program, Shop with a Hero Program, Family Connections, School sports boosters, as well as other school & civic activities. Founder Scott Ledford has served on the Development Authority of Banks County board for years, having held the office of President for a number of those years.   Scott and Cristy reside in Banks County with their two children.
